Raymond Valencia

Raymond and Rita Valencia resided in Utah for a brief time. 

Raymond Steven Valencia, age 81, passed away April 13th, 2021 in Kent, WA.
He was born October 16th, 1939 in Breen, Colorado to William Valencia and Celia Martinez. Raymond married Gregorita (Rita) Jacquez on march 4th, 1972 in Magna, Utah. He was a devoted husband of 49 years, a father, a grandfather, great grandfather, and a friend to many far and wide.

He attended the Colorado Springs and Utah Schools for the Deaf. He also attended and studied at South Seattle Community College where he earned several trade certificates for welding and automotive maintenance. He developed a passion for photography at an early age and his love for the outdoors where he spent much of his time horseback riding, hunting, and fishing. His adoration for salt water fishing began when he moved to Tacoma, WA in 1972. His kind and gentle manner and whimsical sense of humor will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife Gregorita (Rita) Valencia, his two sons Raymond (Roberta) Valencia and Robert (Katie) Valencia, his two sisters Albina (Thom) Barnes and Juanita (Ken) McCauley, and two brothers Thomas (Levinia) and William Valencia: 8 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Celia Valencia and sister Betty (Fred) Rivas.

Dad~ we rejoice in knowing that you are now running and singing in the streets of heaven and hearing our voices as we say We Love You. Thank you for leaving imprints on our hearts and for the legacy in which you’ve created. A private Celebration of life will be held on Friday June 25th, 2021 at 3:00 pm.
