Deanne Penningjack

Deanne Penningjack was the sister of Clarinda Weston.

Deanna Dorine Penningjack, age 79, of Ft. Duchesne, passed away March 22, 2021 in Ft. Duchesne.

Deanna was born January 23, 1942 in Ft. Duchesne to Hughes and Virginia Myore Duncan Penningjack. She married Lloyd Kane Sr, they later divorced.

Deanna loved the Ute language and was always willing to help others to use and understand it. She enjoyed beadwork, making cradle boards, traveling, attending the Sundance, Pow Wow’s, Bear Dance and going to Wendover. She was a proud member of the Native American Church.

She is survived by her children, Bruce (Jenn) Higgins, Sr., Greg (Marianne) Penningjack, Denene (Lynn) Kane-Santio, Lloyd (Angel) Kane, 20 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and sisters, Clarinda Weston, Roxy Myore, Helen Wash, Dorothea Garcia, aunts, Angela (Dale) Shavanaux, Pauline Black, and Mary Ann Perank..

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Robert Jack, Sr., Maxine Penningjack, Tyrone Myore, Cheryl Myore, Myra Copperfield, Leland Myore, Darwin Myore, uncle, Bobby Cuch, aunt, Jessie House.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ft. Duchesne Community Building. A wake will be held after 4:00 p. m. on Friday at her home.

Burial in the Ft. Duchesne Cemetery.
